Now high emission standard engine require applicate common rail system, as the working pressure goes up,systerm requirements on water traps has been changed. so the fuel fiter must separate most of the water , or emission will failed.

High pressure common rail diesel engine is a kind of fuel supply machine which separates the generation of injection pressure and injection process completely in the closed-loop system composed of high-pressure oil pump, pressure sensor and electronic control unit (ECU). The high-pressure fuel pump delivers the high-pressure fuel to the common fuel supply pipe (rail). The oil pressure in the common fuel supply pipe is precisely controlled to make the pressure of the high-pressure fuel pipe independent of the engine speed, which can greatly reduce the variation of the fuel supply pressure of the diesel engine with the engine speed
